I'm considering these 2 amps. Can't decide which one is better so please vote!

Alpine V12:

I would ask for an opinion from Percy to confirm, but I do believe Alpine utilizes slightly better internal components resulting in a slightly cleaner signal.

Both amps are very good and there design are very similar. Loosely regulated power supples, built in xovers, built in fans, class a/b output.

It would depend on what you plan on using the amp to push. If it were subs I would defiantly go with the Kenwood, I have seen quit a few alpine amps fail when pushing subs. Keep in mind this only happens when they are pushing a two ohms bridged load, but usually this is the first thing someone does after purchasing a sub amp.

If you are going to push mid/high combo I would lean towards the alpine, I think it sounds a little better, keep in mind it would be extremely difficult to hear any difference in the amps in a moving car let alone one standing still. The Kenwood has a two year warranty if dealer installed/ alpine has a one year warranty.

If you are going to use it for subs look at the monoblock Kenwood amp (kac-x401m)

I have owned both Kenwood and Alpine V12 amps in the past and I liked the Alpine better. The Alpine seemed a little bit cleaner and I never had any problems with it

Alpine. Slightly cleaner in SQ but I've had power supplies pop "out of the box". One MRVF300 went bye-bye and the MRVF400 held up until I upgraded to McIntosh.
