hey guys my key does not work for my trunk lock under the steering wheel and it wont work for my glove box.. i can open the truck in the back but the trunk pop inside the cars is locked plz anyone HELP!

Sucks...this means that u DON"T have the master key but rather the valet key.
My buddy has the same problem.. I believe the valet key prevents unlocking what you mentioned.

You will need to purchase a master key....

^^ how long will it take for the dealer to cut me one and how much do they normally charge with and with out remote??? normally dont a valet key just open the door and start the car?my key can open the tunk still and it has a remote

I don't believe valet keys have remotes??? but i could be wrong.

Maybe the locks in question were changed by the previous owner?

I believe if looking for a master key, Lexus will need your name and vin#.

There is also a clublexus sponsor that does keys... check the banners..

I had a key laser cut at a locksmith, it worked fine for the ignition, but not the trunk or glovebox. After comparing to my master key, I noticed it didn't have the ridge along the sides of the key cut out. ( Like the Valet Key) I took a dremel tool and a small disc and cut it out, and it unlocks everything now.

Do you have any pictures of what the “ridge” is? Is it a bevel or an addition to the cut down the center? I had some keys cut at Lexus of Seattle and they were supposed to be masters , but they function as valet keys. I am hoping to do the dremel, disc modification to make them fully functional.

i say you drill it out.

use any tool Press the tool in behind the latch and by moving it and prying on the door , you will be able to get the glove box open
