For a single small woof, I'd fire it up thru the stock hole. Tends to be less boomy on the outside of the car though, so if you want boom for shows, I'd skip this.
For more than one woof, most use rear-firing or variant.
You could fire thru the rear seats but I don't think that works well with anything less than (2) 12".
