I just installed it in my GX470 this past weekend. It totally works. The screed appears exactly as the picture in one of the previous posts. For those of you comparing it to an FM modulator or cassette adapter, stop discussing it. There is no comparision. I had the FM modulator for XM before this and is sucks compared to Vaistech's device.

Took less than 2 hours. Pretty easy. The Vaistech device fits behind the Nav screen. The XM box fit under the dash above the passanger footwell. But this is in a GX470.

I got mine last week but isnt to be installed until 2/14. Eugene asked me how I liked it and told him about the install date. he told me there is a new unit with modifications and asked if I would like it. He is sending it to me and I will return the unit sans harness and get the new benefits.

MD Mode?
Does a 2001 LS430 have an MD mode? Or is it just the CD mode ? I want to use the AIC 100x for XM on my car. I received an email from VAIS today that they do have it in stock. Thanks Jason

The reason i asked what Lexus radios had MD mode was because I wanted the XM stations/songs to read out on my display. If there wasnt an MD mode then I would just get the AIC 100 and use an external readout. Obviously it would be nice to have the display on my factory radio.
Just spoke to Eugene as VAIS Tech. He was very helpful and answered all my questions. I am going to order the AIC 100x for XM and try and find a 04 LS430 Radio that may have MD functions on it.
