Default good or bad??? ES300's Nakamichi 6cd unit v.s. Pioneer 6cd unit

I have the Nakamichi 6cd 200watt unit in my 1998 Lexus es300 and my friend's audio shop have tapped into the stock amp up the 2004 alpine D class mono amp with one 2004 10inch alpine Type R subwoofer w/ apline custom box.I disconnected the back stock subwoofer so it doesn't interfear and distort the bass quality from the rear.My question is should i remove the disconnected rear stock speaker and replace and reconnect it with a strong aftermarket free air type subwoofer? If so will this help out with the sound? My other option is exchanging the type R 10inch single sub back to my friend's shop and getting the 12inch single sub type R with box and use the same 300watt alpine d class amp paying the difference in price.

Remove the stock sub. You want bass to flow into the cabin.

No, just play with the grill/subwoofer lid on the rear deck. You should be able to remove it or pop it up so u have access to the subwoofer. Then just unscrew the subwoofer and its baffle from the rear deck. Simple 5 minute job.

It will sound better. because all your bass that is comeing from the 12' is going to go throug the opening of the 8' stock. This will give you more bass inside your car.

yeah people will hear your car. But not very load because the lexus trunk seal in sound pretty good. I had 2 12' infinity in mine before, it was'nt load from out side. But when inside sound great, and when window down. Yeah people will hear you.

If u want ppl to hear you from the outside, you need to get more subs or different subs. If you're just going for loudness and u just want one sub, then the type-r isn't going to cut it.

Another thing you'll need is to sound deaden your trunk so bass is not lost through the rattles. Also any way of getting more bass into the cabin would help such as chopping up the rear deck or metal in back of the back seat.
