Factory Amp? SC400
I have half of my SC400 (1992) taken apart.... does anyone know where the amp is located, I have read through most of the threads, I suspect the amp is fried, rear passenger speaker works fine, sub is muffled and right rear doesn't work at all, no problem with the front speakers.... Is it the amp??? hmmm any ideas from anyone else?
Thanks a bunch, awesome site.

To get it out, you have to take out all the stuff in this thread (for the back seat, of course). For the Nakamichi's, I think they only use one amp, and I would GEUSS that, it's under the CD changer, as well.
thanks RST, this helped me change my blown door speakers.... Do you have any suggestions for my rear deck... I want to but two 10's in the back. Fiberglass maybe?

Depends on what you want for the rear deck; instructions on how to get to the deck are included in this thread, too, so take a look if you havn't already. For the subs, fiberglass is definately the way to go. I did my own install, which looks ok, but doesn't sound too hot (made the boxes too small). If I had the cash, I would have had a professional do it.

You are correct. In Nakamichi systems the amp is under the CD changer.

this thread has really helped me with my audio make-over. my ears have the pleasure of crisp sounding infinity kappas all around just need to look for a decent 12" sub now. the lil 10" MTX isn't quite cutting it anymore!

Yes, definately a great post!
Just a quick question, if someone needed replacement screws or bolts to put the door panel back on do you think that HomeDepot should sell ones that fit? Or should they go to the dealer?
