Auto Security Shop in Boston?
I want to get a remote starter, alarm, keyless entry combo in my car, and the ones I have checked so far in Boston area cost like $350, however, I can have a decent system from ebay for $50, does any one know a cheap place in Boston that would install it for me? Bestbuy wants $150. When I was in Alaska I installed two remote starters/alarms etc and they are not really that hard to install (2hours tops), but I don't have a garage in Boston where I can work! Just looking for a cheap place that would install something other than what they sell and for cheap, in Boston area.
Thanks

No offense but why would you want a CHEAP install on a Lexus? I agree with the fact that they arent that much harder but still, why would you not want a professional with Lexus experience to install it? You should just buy a quality product that will sell the product to you and also install it. Just my .02cents.

Actually I am a student = broke! Believe me even if I was making ANY money I would get a top notch system and installation. Currently the remote starter I have on it has completely lost its range, I have to literally be next to the car to remote start it. Since it was installed by the previous owner in alaska, I have no clue where it was installed so no warranties etc. Since the wires have already been identified (due to the wires going into the existing module, I don;t feel it should be hard to install).

Yes, its a black widow system, and I even changed the battetry in it. Hmmm, I shall see if I can find a remote for it. Does the es300 not already come with alrm in it? Or is the factory alarm deactivated when a remote starter is installed?

hmmm black widow huh? I would try to find a dealer around the area. I am not sure who carries them but that is your best bet. Sorry I couldn't help more, I don't carry black widow. Good Luck bro.

Called the black widow people and they told me to open the remote and adjust a little thing with a littlw screw driver (kindda looks like a rheostat for adjusting frequencies I think but not too sure) it helped a little with the range, but eventually I shall get a new remote which is like $35. Not too bad. Are there universal remotes out there that can learn the frequency of the old remote?
