Radio security code
I own a 1995 SC 300 with the stock radio with cassete player and 12 CD changer; not the upgrade. Is there a security code on these radios? I need to have some work done on it and I am afraid it is going to lock up on me.
I bought this car used and I never got a radio code number.
I have disconnected the battery before and did not get a security lock-out. When I turn the key from lock to ACC the words SEC do not appear on the radio readout.
Please help!
Thanks,
Msuar

radio codes are owner installed on lexus not installed permanently in a chip like other makes. not many owners ever installed a code. stereo thieves have not owned any cassette tapes for years so have no intertest in your radios. i have only encountered 2 radio code cares in all the yuears i have worked on them. i have the master code for 92 to 96 es300 but not es300. the dealer probavbly has one if it should need a master code. then have the delaer put the code back to no code so it doesnt happen again.
