Will the navigation system from a 03 GS430 fit in a 99 GS400? I would very much like to install a navigation system in my car and I have looked into after market nav systems and one of the best ones on the market right now is the PIONEER NAV-SYS910DVD system that sells for around US$2K brand new on ebay.

However I would still like to keep the factory look and would much rather prefer an OEM nav system similar to the one in a 03 GS430. I was looking at one a couple of weeks ago at my local dealer and it looks so sweet! The other reason why I would rather have an OEM nav is simply because it makes it less attractive to thieves.

I know it would be much more expensive to go that route, but I am still curious if anyone on CL has gone through this same predicament and what you ended up doing (short of selling your car and buying a nav equipped car).

That is allmost exactly what I want to know.
I have the CDrom based NAV but would really like the DVD based one in my car and the bigger screen.
