The IS300 sounds like it has the same V6 that comes in the Camry/Venza.

In other markets Lexus uses a non turbo version of the 2 litre turbo engine, such as in the ES200, NX200. Could this V6 be a non turbo version of a forthcoming turbo version?

oh i forget about that one! And actually now that you mentioned that era the ES300/ES330 from the mid 2000's also changed with the MZ series growing to a 3.0L to a 3.3L, and the previous body (2nd gen) went from changes with the MZ as well from a non VVT-i to a VVT-i version.

Not available for 2016 in Canada. RWD duty (and 8-speed) left to the 200t only.

im crossing fingers for memory seats and rain sensing wipers for the F-sport (and parking sensors, because each time I get an IS loaner, I miss having this feature) with the intro of the newer engines lol

Memory seats would be nice. I actually love the NA engine so a little bump to 325-350 would be nice but wouldn't be a deal breaker.

The IS 300 is a v6 engine? I'm still looking for a new Lexus. I'm hoping the price will be a little cheaper than the IS 350.

1) Which one would you prefer in California? IS 200T or IS 300?
2) If I'm not mistaken, turbo engine wears out faster?
3) Would you prefer a v4 turbo engine or a v6 engine?
4) Dumb question, are v4 turbo engines usually louder than v6 engines?

1. 200T. not even a decision.
2. not necessarily. it's not that simplistic.
3. prefer a 4cyl turbo
4. 4cyl turbo cars are generally quieter than similarly powered V6 cars

Still no memory seats on F-Sport? That's outrageous. Also, does the backup camera include audio alerts when nearing objects?

Currently, my 2015 AWD IS 350 only alerts when there are vehicles coming from either side but when reversing, the backup camera has no audio alerts indicating that you're about to reverse into another vehicle - poor design if you ask me.

As for memory seats and such, we'll need to wait for the US press release before we know if they've made that change.

And as for alerts while backing up, it's currently an option, but not available on F Sports.

The backup camera does not but the blind spot monitor does and is normally an added option in the configured vehicle.

As much as I like the idea of parking sensors, I honestly feel like I don't need them as the back-up camera is sufficient. The only time where I think it would be useful is in the case where you're using a self-parking feature. The release info did mention rain sensing wipers as standard equipment along with auto leveling HID headlamps. The memory seats would be a great feature and I thought they were going to fix that by assigning it to key fobs as opposed to having a dedicated button. For me, not having the feature isn't a deal breaker, but I would want a front camera and HUD on the nice to have list.

Different things. The blind spot monitor only gives an illuminated indication in the mirror that someone is back in your blind spot. It's not for reversing. It does come with Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA), but that won't tell you if you're backing into someone. It just goes off if there is cross traffic approaching behind you, which you may enter into the path of. It doesn't warn you if you're going to back into an object like Lexus Park Assist does.

Are you speculating on this or do you know this for sure? I put in an order 2 weeks ago for a 2015 RWD (I live in Canada), and it was denied by Lexus in Japan because they stopped 2015 production. If there's no 2016 RWD available for Canada, then I guess I'll either have to settle and get the AWD or go for a different brand
