Just black and red wires. No fancy harness or anything. Just have to tap to the drl or headlight depending how you want it on.can rig a button too but more work.

Can you take a picture of the wire ends? I don't know what you mean by tapping to the drl or headlight. I just want to avoid cutting wires.
if we hardwire it to our DRLs, I wonder how it would affect the fog lights performance when the DRLs dim and brighten
they would turn off.
There is two wires going to the our DRLs, one is DRL wire and another is 12v Parking light. Once the DRL sees 12v parking light then it goes to DIM mode so however you wish to wire these fogs to those will not work the same way.
I'm looking to wire it to the low beams. No need to have the fogs and DRL at the same time during the day.
That's what the product seem to want you to do. If it was up to me, I'd wire it all the way to the fuse box and connect it to something that could provide the correct voltage. Then have a push button similar to the BSM button, and might as well mount it right next to it.
