I would pick IS350 engine is one of the best more liable then IS250. Sometime it is nice to have 306 HP when you run into Mustang at stop light. J/k

As a general rule, always chose the most recent year if you are looking for the "best." The newer, the better. Newness always outweighs any early-model kinks- which in the case of Lexus, never really exist anyway. Time and wear and tear are the biggest enemy of all cars. So the older you get, the more chance things will deteriorate faster and give you a headache. Newer = better.
