Radio Delay
Hi CL,
I recently leased a 2015 IS250 and I am very happy with it. My only gripe so far has been the radio. I came from a 2008 IS and when you sat down it it and hit the button within 2 seconds of the car turning over you would hear something. The new IS there is about a 15-20sec delay before you can listen to anything.
Can this be removed? its more of a personal preference but seems like a waste, 20 seconds I'm already out of the parking lot and I would prefer to change set my radio before I start driving.
Thanks

I have also an IS250 f2 2015, don't have this problem, the disclaimer screen goes off in a matter of seconds and the radio is on. Maybe you should have it checked by your dealer

The delay is from the disclaimer screen and no radio functions are available until that screen clears on its own or is acknowledge through the "continue" button. That screen does stay on longer than I would personally like, and it is not mere seconds, more like 30 seconds. Overall, I turn the car on first, then put my seatbelt on, by then the screen is just about done. For those that don't have Navigation, there is no delay as there is no disclaimer.

Yes! To replicate this, turn radio off then car off. Then later turn car on and try and turn radio on... it will not turn on till about 10-15 seconds seconds after car has been started then you can press the radio button or the power button to turn on

Maybe there is a difference for ML vs non-ML?
My ML system had quite a lag. My problem was always that I would have an audiobook on when I shut it off, then I get in the car with a bunch of friends and we all have to listen to 10-15s of it until I am able to switch to music.

Hey guys thanks for all the responses
I was hoping there was a setting that would bypass some of the delay without going to the dealer. most of the customizable settings are posted (seatbelt beep etc) and are posted online. I was hoping this might be a similar config issue.
It's worth noting that I usually use bluetooth as well. this adds another 10-15sec on top of the disclaimer to where it actually begins looking for my phone/musicplayer.
Any additional thoughts?
