Default 3IS Square set up Confirmation

Hi All

I have read through all of the threads I could find through search on the thread and search on google, but wanted to get some confirmation (if possible) about a square wheel set up on the 3IS.

It is looking from my searches that 18 X 8.5 or 19 X 8.5 should be no problem front and rear with offsets around 35mm. Not going to lower the car and am wondering peoples thoughts or if anyone has some pictures and specs of this type of set up. Also looking at tire specs of 255 or 245. Again not sure exactly what will fit.

Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks

Aaron

I can't speak for the 3IS but for the 2IS, you can safely run a 255 square set-up using the exact 18" wheel specs you mentioned (18 x 8.5 +35). The tire size would be 255/35/18 and even when mildly lowered, there is no tire rub.

I have an is350 and the square set up is fine...especially w/ 8.5" all around and not lowering. the rear is already at 8.5" w/ a 255 width tire.

as for the front, I'm going to go w/ a 19x8.5 +35 wheel and wrap it with 235/35/19 rubber. should be good to go.
