Default How to check for sw updates from Lexus

How do you check for any new sw updates released by Lexus? Or this controlled by the dealer only, next oil change (or service), they would notify you of the update available?

Thanks, Dan

that's a good question. I would imagine that they would send out post cards like the do for recalls if there was a sw update.

The car normally gives you a reminder either everything time you start the car or just before you turn it off.

Should be able to go through settings to check if you have the latest update.

The dealer will typically not update your software unless you report a problem that can possibly be fixed by an update. They have a "if it isn't broke don't fix it" mentality.

There is no way (that I know of) to know about the software updates except for asking what the latest version is on here.

It also applies to my dealership which is in Canada. I had to specifically ask them to put the latest update to mine.
