I just got my 2015 IS 350 F-sport AWD three weeks ago and kinda got surprised when I saw an august 2014 build date this morning. Still says 2015 MY under the hood but never thought it would be so "old".

Build date is on the tag, driver side door. Regulations sticker is stuck under the hood, front end of it.

There are nothing really surprised. 2016 models will arrive around November or earlier this year. Then, 2016 buyers will say their cars is made in 2015 and feel they are old.

Don't get me wrong, I know next year model will arrive September-November, but I never thought a car could "sit" that long in dealerships. I guess the 350 isn't the biggest seller so this might explain.
Anyways, I still love the car and don't really mind!

yes they are shipped from Japan and with the recent debacle that has been going on in the LA harbor there may still be some cars waiting to be unloaded. I am not sure if they are close to catching back up yet

i bought mine in april of 2014 and it has its build date listed as august 2013. ancient.

Mine is Jan 2015. Bought it on March 2015

Mine is Dec '14 and bought it Feb '15. I think thats as good as its going to get from build to delivery
