Same here! Great review, I love my IS350 F Sport, so happy I pulled the trigger on one.

I don't understand why lexus did not added this options and why info system lags but we'll see how it changes for 2016 models.

Does anyone know when 2016 IS will be released?
If you go for the luxury line, you will have memory seat.
Yes, I also think improving the info would be nice. However, the lag doesn't really bother me because I rather use it beside the radio or CD.

As far as the blinker goes he is right on. The comment is about tactile feel. Even after driving the car over 18 months I still end up inadvertently signalling and then fighting with trying to cancel the signal only to turn on the opposite signal. This is a big problem because I am probably one of the rare people who "over-signal." I signal EVERY move.

There is no chance of any change to storage. There just simply isn't any room without making some significant changes. If it was practical to add more storage areas they would have. I believe the choice they made on cup holders was a deliberate choice for the overall design they were looking for.
I do the same thing. I signal every turn/lane change, then try to cancel it out and it signals in the opposite direction. Its funny because 8 out of 10 times when it happens the person behind me with switch lanes because it confuses them. Its probably the most annoying quirk in the car, aside from the cupboards, at least for me.

I wonder if there was a change in the switch at some point that changed the tactile feel of the lane change function on the turn signal. Mine is very clear. I always use my signal to change lanes. The first detent in the switch gives me 3 signal flashes and that's it. So simple that it makes me wonder if some signal stalks have weaker detents.

Agree with most of the review, but here are the things I do not agree with.

1) I think the seats are perfect. They are by far the best seats I've ever sat in. Wouldn't make any changes to it.
2) While I agree the storage is limited, you can just place your phone in the door armrest hole
3) He should've highlighted the brakes more. They're impossible to fade. Never had brakes quite like these, and I've driven and owned some sporty cars.

It's funny I almost cut that out but on my last day of filming I realized how I had been fighting with them from day one.

I'd be surprised if there were any major changes for MY2016 yet but, the infotainment could use it for sure.

I find it hard to believe until they do a "refresh" on this gen, all the cabin is going to be the same as far as storage is concerned. they may add different trims, but I don't see anything past that.

ironic that I did my new owner's survey this morning and I mentioned just these exact things...and a little more.
I think the memory seat issue is tied to the issue with the variable steering option.

It works the same way in most German cars.
As mentioned elsewhere, I am not sure if the detent is different between cars as the pressure between soft touch and fully on is small on my tester.
I've never had so much of an issue with the turn signal on any car before.

There are much better tires out there with better treadwear for sure.

I over signal as well, no matter what. And on the fly I have the same issue trying to cancel and turning it on the other way. Storage does not bother me as much as the cup holders, I think that would be easier to alter the opening sizes or just make it adjustable is an elegant way without screwing up the aesthetic.

Don't to blow it out of proportion but worth noting. The positive part is the actually turn signal sound is very good like a clock.

One comment about the analog clock. Many people have derided Lexus in the past for "having the same damn digital clock i can get in a corolla since 1993 (and cruise control stem, which i personally think is the best designed one out of all the auto mfr's)". not sure how i feel about the analog clock or if i miss the digital one but it's interesting to see people's different reactions to the same thing!
On this car it just bothered me. Have this great digital gauge cluster, fancy infotainment, then stick this plastic analog clock in the middle, funny really.

Yep, that's exactly the charm of it.

Were the other issues addressed at least?

That's because you were not suppose to cancel the automatic blinker. It will turn off automatically after 3 blinks in factory setting it can be change to 5 or 7, hence when you flick to opposite direction it will blink to opposite. In order to keep the lane change blinks on constantly you have to press it harder where you can feel a resistance in the stalk and go pass the resistance.

Yeah trying to cancelling it and turning it back on again is one I just started laughing at after a while.

I did not feel a detent at all for the quick changes. It was more like barely touch it and its full on. Maybe you are right, manufacturing difference? Wear?

1. The seats are really good, probably one of the best parts but had to note the quirks as there was a lot of discussion on this forum

2. I tried that mine would always fly out. I guess I need a smaller phone.

3. Brakes are great but... Impossible to talk about fade etc with street driving or at least the street driving I do. But again probably should have said more than they were "strong." because in fact they are way above average.

That's the issue it would always go full on, not just the auto blinks.
Even with a soft touch it was hard to trigger the 3/5/7 auto blinks without it clicking to full on. Could have just been wear or issue with the tester car.
Or maybe I don't know how to operate a IS turn signal.

Likely you were testing a preproduction model?

After 4 months of driving this car, I realized the best place to put my phone is between the seat and the center console. There is a cushion material there to prevent stuff from falling between the seat and the console. Before that I tried putting my phone in front of the nav, next to the shifter, etc but I never liked how it would move around so much.

Not likely as it was a 2015MY.

Absolutely. I actually really enjoyed the review and felt that it was fair. Several of the issues don't affect me (ex. my phone stays in my bag. I'm small, so the seats are quite comfortable for me, even on a 5+ hour trip.)

Yes, the infotainment needs major work - I actually had mine replaced due to constant reboots.
Cupholders suck.
Tires super suck.

But, at the end of the day - I love the car.
