I saw a newish IS 350 behind me while driving to work and couldn't take my eyes off the headlights. What kind of headlamps does the IS use? Is it HID or LED? Thanks.

Does each headlight have dual elements or single element? If each heals light has duel elements, it is LED headlamp. Otherwise it is HID

I thought all IS models sold in the US are exclusively LED.

I have the LED headlights on my IS and I absolutely love them.

In the US, the F Sport comes standard with the LEDs, the non F Sport models come standard with HID, and LED is optional.

I believe it was the non F sport because when it passed me all I could read in the rear was IS 350 AWD. I remember seeing only one lighting element per headlight but I could be wrong as we were on the road with moving traffic. Anyway they really are eye-catching and are way better than anything else on the road.

If it was a 2014 F Sport there won't be an F Sport detail on the lower left area of the trunk
