Sorry to see this. It appears from the photo you maybe right. However, some times the full extent of the damage is not always visible and can only be determined by a thorough appraisal. The insurance company sometimes specifies use of equivalent (not OEM) parts. This can be confirmed by the repair shop. If you want OEM parts, you may have to pay extra out of pocket. Hope you are able to get an excellent repair job.

Sorry about this, man. I think you'll need a new bumper, but I'll leave that to your appraiser/insurance company. Hopefully, you can get it fixed soon and done right!

It's unlikely that there are any aftermarket replacement parts for the IS...especially a bumper. Even tho the insurance will assess the damage, you have the right to take it to a shop of your choice and specify you want OE parts only. The insurance will pay the shop directly. Whatever you do, do not just ask for the check based on the insurance assessment. Once you get that, anything else you find damaged will be on you.

like everyone else OP, i'm sorry to hear this happened to you. as for the damage of whats obviously noticeable yes, you'll need to replace the bumper. underlying damages could also include replacing the headlight support bracket which also acts as the clip-on support for your bumper, if that area is damaged. also, you may need to realign your headlights. a couple hundred dollars more, but insurance should take care of all of this.

as a side note though, this is the exact reason why i don't park my car with the front bumper facing out. there are too many components to be possibly damaged and have to get fixed. the rear bumper is less of a hassle, so i always parki with the rear out. unless until i can one day research and afford a stealth front camera mount install with constant powering even when parked. this is the only time i would ever feel safe parking the front facing out.

Take it back to Lexus to get it fixed. Chances are, you would get the best paint match as I've read that the Nebula grey is kinda hard to match due to the amount of metal flakes in the paint. Best of luck OP!

Damn sorry to see that man, wow I would have been livid. Definitely file your claim and fight for those OEM parts, though sometimes they want to give you aftermarket parts...

I would venture to say you'll need a new bumper support as well and more than likely some broken tabs not visible in those pictures.

Sorry abt that , I guess ur best bet is to go through ur Lexus dealer body shop .. They normally go for the original parts, it's a lil bit expensive so long as it was not your fault ..

Find a local Lexus collision center and take it there, you can also take it to your reputable shop that you know would only use factory parts.

Stateside, I know the insurance companies can't force you to take it where they want

OP...You seem to be much cooler and calm about this than I would! I am so sorry to see your IS in this condition but hopefully it will be repaired without any residual signs.
