FNG here!!!
hello to all. i'm new to these forums, but not new to the lexus family. as of yesterday, i'm a new owner of a bouncing baby is3 f sport! i've been lurking through these forums gathering great info as i was between choosing this or the 335i. my previous bucket was a solar yellow '03 is300 and i miss it already...haha. but i'm sure i'll slowly ease into this new bucket. thanks to these forums, i know i'll continue to be broke for the next couple of years...haha. can't wait to interact on the daily and maybe meet some of the members sooner than later.

it is truly a different experience. the cockpit in the is350 is a lot tighter in comparison; feels more secure. everything from the seat to the center console. the one thing i do miss or have to get used to is driving an automatic again. weird right? should be an easy transition, but i'm so used to driving stick and have the parking break where the clutch should be...haha! the power in the 350 is a lot more! my is300 was na w/ cold air intake and hks cf-ti exhaust, but wasn't close to 300 hp! can't wait to start modding this one.

I had a 2003 BMW 330i sport with stick shift. It took me about a month to get accustomed to the difference in the steering feel, handling, the automatic and the foot parking brake. The BMW was a lot more nimble but this is to be expected since the Lexus IS is a bigger and heavier car. Still find stick shift more involving but the 8 speed auto transmission is very good. The Lexus strikes the perfect balance between luxury and sport. Very good car.
