Default Wife wants red brake calipers😳

We have a black 350 F sport AwD and plan on installing 19" matte black LFA replicas soon.

The wife wants to have red brake calipers. I am looking at a set of Brembo covers on eBay.

Anyone install these?

Pics?

Suggestions ?

I would recommend against painting. Once you start, you can't stop. Mine needed another coat every 12-15 months. This is with great preparation and 3 coats of paint. Mind you, this is in a winter climate where salt is used so that probably had a lot to do with the wear down

which type of paint. I dont live in a salt road environment but I've painted both 06/14 IS with G2 caliper paint (epoxy) and it still looks great

how much does it usually cost to paint brake calipers? The guy who did my de-chrome quoted me 650 for all four calipers which seemed extremely steep.

If you can afford to not drive the Lexi for a little bit, I recommend taking them off and sending them off to get powder coated. It would be less than $150 to do both the fronts.

Painting is pretty cheap. I did it myself and it's less than $30. I've seen people offer to do it for $50 each. $600 is insanely expensive.

Real Brembos would look so good and fill the gap the 19s are gonna open up. Expensive but sweet.

i can't imagine these brakes working very well considering the low surface area the pads and overall brakes are covering, which is like less than an inch of the outer most ring of the rotor..maybe its the angle of the picture..

Have you thought of a 3M reflective caliper wrap?

I did mine in blue and I love them. I know a few others on here have done the same.

Anyone has done this before? If so would you please tell me where are the lift points of 3IS. I have a floor jack and 2 jack stand. I think I can use the rear differential but dont know where to start with the front. I also looked at the owner manual page 400 but unsure.
