Which has a better ride quality? I'll never drive my car like a track car,so some comfort is important.

So when i purchased my 3IS it came stock with Bridgstones Turanzas. Needed to ditch those. I went with Michelin A/S 3 and completely dissatisfied but Michelin swapped them out for PSS and riding in the front 225/40/18 and the rear 265/35/18 and STOKED! It rides a lot better and grips the road on turns. You'll be happy!

OEM tires are meant to wear out quickly forcing a tire change usually done at the dealerships for those not in the know. stick with PSS. michelin barely has to market their brand bc people buy them regardless!

I have michelin pss a/s on my gs and conti dws on my is. If you need all seasons and comfort is important go with the contis. If you just want the best summer compound tire its Michelin Pss all day long.

What lasts longer? I had PSS on my G35 coupe and had to replace every 14k

Ditto. Using the PSS on my Mustang GT. Can't praise the Michelins enough. Excellent tires on s stiffly sprung car with an antique rear axle. Great ride quality. When I burn through the crappy Bridgestones on my IS 350, the PSS' will be the replacements. One caveat: they wear quickly, even with rotation, so I don't think they'll last very long with a staggered set up.

I've used the Conti DW on a '13 Honda Accord. Good tire also. Cheaper than the PSS, softer compound, a bit more flex when cornering. Good ride quality as well.

i had the continentals on my old car and was pleased with them until they got older. It got louder as they aged, but i'm pretty sure all tires do. My Michelins got very loud as well as they aged. If longevity of the tires is a concern, i'd go with the Continentals.

Although, my car is not a 3IS or even a Lexus for that fact, but I have experience with both tires.

I would highly recommend Michelin PSS (my current summer setup) over the Continental DWs (I had these tires for 3 summers). MPSS also track as true/straight as summer tires can potentially. Steering response is great.

The MichelIn PSS are quite civilized and very grippy as well. They also are very quiet for a high performance summer tires. The Continental DWs on the other hand were very harsh, extremely noisy (became even more noisier as the miles rolled by) and tramlined like crazy over grooves and cracks etc. I felt a lot of tug and pull in the steering all the time.

They also did not wear well. The Continental DWs developed massive feathering/cupping issues only after about 15,000 KM. That resulted in big vibrations at highway speeds. The wear pattern was uneven and resulted in more wear on the inner side than the outer side (despite the fact, I get an alignment every year). Despite the harshness/stiffness, once you pick up speed, these tires become very nervous and bouncy. The steering becomes very darty and ponderous at higher speeds.

All in all, I would not even think about the Continental DW over the Michelin PSS. Michelin PSS are quite possibly the best summer performance tires that can be driven daily.

I have the DW and I love them, quiet but not as grippy like the PSS.

I'm not sure about the DW, but the DWS is very quiet, comfortable, and good in rain/snow. The downside is that sidewalls are soft and prompt to damage from potholes. I lost 3 this winter vs. 0 when I had oem bridgestones. 18 vs. 17 also played a role.
