recommendations for baby car seat on 3Gen IS
#16
I don't have much of a problem with the driver's and passengers seat. We put the baby seat in the back middle and it seems to be pretty easy getting it in/out with just a little bit of angle. For very tall people, perhaps the front passenger seat might be an issue.

Let me know if you are interested in a similar setup as mine and I can post some pics for you.

Awesome! I also see that you're from Washington (which area?) - if I see you, I'll be sure to give you the !

I have to have the seat behind the front passenger seat, as my other car seat is behind the driver.

I was looking to do a Chico key fit 30 with mammas papas armadillo or Britax B agile.
Anyone have experience with these?

Is your other seat a front-facing one? If so, which one do you have? I may have to switch to a front-facing seat in a few months as the baby is growing fast.

Statistically speaking, the placing the car seat in the middle has shown to be the safest.
With my setup, I'm using the LATCH from each of the left and right side to hold down the base of the car seat. It seems to hold super tight, way better than using the center seat belt. I'll post pics of that tomorrow.

I don't think it will be awkward to bring it to your test drive at all - we did the same thing! The main reason was to try it out in an RC 350 - that wasn't too practical, so I ended up getting the IS 350. No regrets.

Not sure why most people put the car seat behind the passenger - maybe because it's easier for the driver to see/reach the baby? Also possibly easier to put the car seat in/out of the car.
My wife likes the car seat in the middle so she can sit in the rear passenger-side, closer to the baby instead of the other side of the rear seat.

If a car has middle LATCH points (hardly any do these days) then the middle is statistically the safest spot.
