Default F Sport Air Intake and Exhaust

So recently I traded my 2009 IS250 that I had for a 2015 IS250 F Sport. On my 09 i had installed a F Sport Intake and Exhaust and sounded pretty awesome. Just yesterday I purchased and installed the new F Sport Intake and Exhaust and the sound isn't there, it now has more of a deeper sound, when I rev it up, I'm not too impressed. Anyone else have this issue?

I have the same car, but with Tanabe exhaust and F sport intake. It is a bit underwhelming, I agree. Just much deeper and a tad louder. The sound dampening on this car is part of the problem. Trust me, your car will sound different under load from the outside versus you sitting in a driveway with the windows down and revving the engine. There doesn't seem to be a middle ground for mods with this car. Everything is either super mild or ridiculously aggressive.

Give your exhaust a few months to break in and it should get louder and deeper. The intake is going to be quiet. But I will take quieter for quicker, smoother and more direct air flow

For the exhaust, you can always add a midpipe to increase volume.

I personally like the mild mature set-ups. Just much more livable on a daily basis.

On the intake side, Lexus put a "sound generator" horn on the OEM intake to tune in a more exotic intake sound. When you put on the Fsport intake tube you removed the sound generator. You lost that sound.

The other poster answered well about the exhaust.

Thanks guys! Just noticed today as I hit an open road I cranked it and it sounded pretty aggressive but like my wife said didn't sound like a rice burner. I will definitely take that as a positive note.
