Red has been a popular interior color in various cars for several years now, so I kind of doubt that it will be totally "uncool" ten years from now. I never even thought about it, because I didn't consider any color other than Rioja once I saw it.

The red is a pain in the *** and denim dye will discolor it. Go w/ black if it is an option. I would have gone w/ black if I had a choice despite the current red "cool" factor.

I haven't had any problems with my jeans transferring any color on my seats. 6000 miles and they still look brand new. Still has a hint of the new car smell too.

No issues here either.

Yes. I purchased some Lexol cleaner and it all came off...but it's still annoying that it transfers. Especially since the real leather in my last Lexus did not have this problem and it was a much lighter shade.

the nulux is like a textured vinyl that's slightly harder than genuine leather. it is more abrasive on your jeans, also grips better when you're taking hard corners

NuLuxe is more fragile than genuine leather. If you accidentally drop hot cigarete ash it may burn through material and leave a permanent damage. It is synthetic and it is more flammable than leather. Just smth to keep in mind.

I still don't get why Lexus decided to use the Nuluxe crap. I expected real leather in a Lexus. BMW is a different story. Sad and irritating that Lexus is following them in that regard.

NuLuxe used on F-Sport is actually pretty decent. It retains the form a lot better than leather and is quite durable provided you keep flammables away from it. I personally don't have any gripes regarding the use NuLuxe and not putting the real leather (although putting the leather would have been nice).NuLuxe is even used on 75K RCF for crying out loud! But I do hate that plastic center console design. It just annoys the crap out me when it creaks and cracks.

leather in 2IS, wrinkley, slippery, requires conditioning
nuluxe in 3IS, no wrinkles, grippy, no conditioning

Dont miss the 2IS leather at all

Maybe your jeans are not high quality? I wear jeans all the time and it has never put any color on my seats. Or is there some kind of artsy paint on the butt?
Just wondering what type of jeans, because I will never buy them if that is a problem you are having.

Is it dangerous to discharge natural gas on the nulux seats? I don't want to self combust after eating chilly

LMAO LOL !!! You got me man.
Man, it is illegal to do that - you endanger yourself and others by trying ignite a bomb inside your car.
