Hi all,

Been noticing rattle in the rear part of my car for the last few weeks and haven't thought much of it. I honestly thought it was just plastic or something.

So today I finally got into the back seat to see where the noise was coming from and to my surprise it was coming from the subwoofer. I'm pretty sure it's blown which sucks because I have never abused the volume on my system (or so I thought). It's Mark Levinson so I expected a lot better I guess...

My question is, is this sort of thing covered under warranty or will they tell me that it was my fault for blowing the sub and make me pay out of pocket?

Yes, the blown sub is a warrantable repair. Even if you listen at max all the time Lexus cannot deny coverage. They designed the system to work at its limits and they guarantee that it will work till warranty terms expire. So don't even worry. Just bring your car to a dealer.

+1 on this. Unless you've altered the sound system in anyway then you should be fine.
