Default Wax on XPEL?

Hi guys, Just a quick question here....
I have the full hood XPEL ultimate clear bra installed, and I was told to use a water-based wax for the clear bra, or the bra will turn yellow over time.

I know that the Xpel guys recommends their own "XPAL Flawless Finish" as a wax alternative for the car because it's a water based wax.

So, I'm wondering, if anyone uses any other wax brand?
I currently have this:
AERO 5664 Speed Wax AERO 5664 Speed Wax
, but I'm not sure if this is water-based or not.

If anyone uses the same wax as I do, please let me know.
If not, any recommendation is welcomed.
Thanks y'all!

On the XPEL website, it says:

"Unlike most paint protection films on the market, XPEL ULTIMATE Paint Protection film can be waxed and sealed just like your paint. Though XPEL Flawless Finish Paint Protection Film Sealant is still the preferred product, Any automotive wax or sealant may be used."

I would assume that means "any" wax would not result in yellowing. "Yellowing" is specifically covered by the XPEL Ultimate warranty.

I was pretty sure that you could use any wax on the xpel bra.. I thought the yellow only occurred from the left-over wax on the edge of the xpel bra (the line where the bra ends). Just make sure to wipe that part carefully (vertically). You can call your dealership's delivery specialist for any more information on the yellowing.. but I'm sure xpel doesn't yellow.

Just like any paint protection film brands, as long as the wax/sealant/car coating that you put in top of the films has no color dye, you should be okay.

For instance, I tried Zymol vintage wax on the film for years and it is alright. Currently I put a silica based coating with carnauba content (Polish Angel Cosmic 9H) on the film and it is fine too.

Ah ok. I was worried since the lady at the shop told me not to use any other wax than the XPEL one.
I guess I'm safe to use my current spray wax.

Thanks guys!

Good point -- in other words, if the bottle label says "petroleum distillate", try to avoid it.

Cool, thanks for the info.
I don't think AERO is a petro-based wax, so I'm safe

Agree. My installer said that any wax without petroleum can be used safely
