Here's my 2015 IS350 F sport after paint correction and application of Cquartz Finest, featured on the facebook page of the auto detailer I go to in Houston. The paint looks like glass! They do an awesome job and I definitely recommend them! Photo was taken by them.

The cost for the Cquartz was around $800. It protects the paint, gives it a nice gloss and makes it hydrophobic.

I contacted a detailer locally at it starts at $700!! I think those jobs take 4hrs+! lots of prep work! Don't have to wax for 2 years I believe. Not sure if I want to cough up the money though! #brokelexusowner

Yeah it does take a while to do the entire process. I left the car with them for about 2 days because I also had to do a one stage paint correction. My car had fine swirl marks when I got it from the dealer (the dealer washed it too). Overall I'm very pleased with how the car looks like now.

Here's a video on Cquartz finest (and other preps) they do. The guy in the video is the same one who took care of my car. He said that it's really challenging to work on the Lexus paint because of how soft it is, but he did a great job. On their facebook page, he has a video working on a Lexus LFA.

I am an authorized CQuartz Finest installer... for a vehicle the size of an IS, my Finest package would take approximately 8-16 hours to complete the exterior of the vehicle depending on the condition of the paint to begin with. This process includes a very thorough wheel & tire cleaning, detailed hand wash, chemical and mechanical paint decontamination, paint polishing (multi-step correction when needed), surface cleansing, coating application, and all the other smaller misc details (polishing exhaust, dressing trim and tires, etc). I know all Finest installers will include this level of service (and more!) when installing Finest... the $800 price point is very reasonable for this type of work.

My car has been coated for over 2 years... the gloss, ease of maintenance, and protection is fantastic!


If you're looking for a more budget friendly option, ask your local detailer about CQuartz UK instead of Finest... CQuartz UK offers great protection & gloss at a more affordable price. The only tradeoffs are that Finest features a 2 year warranty, slightly enhanced gloss, and a thicker layer of protection. All ceramic coatings are far superior to any traditional sealants or waxes in terms of protection.
