as a second gen IS owner, i actually really like the new 3IS design/look. and i really wish they would make a new F w/ the same body (but the 5 liter won't fit under the current 3IS hood.) as an F owner, i don't feel "superior" to 2IS or 3IS owners/drivers. we all purchased what we wanted and that's each own's preference. what annoys me are posers. like when you see a merc owner w/ a bunch of AMG badges on their C250/300 or 350. or i've seen IS250 or 350 owners rebadged their ride w/ just the F emblems instead of the F sport. or the guy that rebadged his GS 350 w/ the F badge so it looks like he's got a GS-F LOL lame.

OP do whatever you want but don't think people won't call you out and criticize.

That's good entertainment for the road. They can only fool non-F owners anyway.

Note the logo is level with the ground, not with the character line.

I will note the vertical measurement is a bit arbitrary since the line isn't well defined. On second thought, I could have measured from the bottom where it contacts with the rocker panel, but verticality would probably result in a similar error.

Rock on with the badge op. F-sport badge doesn't mean the car is faster than any other, its just screaming hey I have a few enhancements over my counterpart.

IS-F badge on the other hand well that's a different beast and should not be used on regular IS line of cars.

I think if he wants his 300H to look like an F-Sport and you can't buy it, why not make it? Power to you man.

I know this is an old thread, but is there a badge for an aftermarket "F Sport" with OEM mods? Seems to me if you invest in OEM F-Sport upgrades maybe an F-Aftermarket badge would be ok. I just bought a 2012 IS350c with OEM F exhaust and I was curious about this so after a search I arrived here...I would never install the real deal...just not me...

My take on it is this. If you have an F Sport model, keep the F Sport badges if you like. If you don't have an F Sport, but you want to install F Sport parts, I'd treat it as its own unique thing. Putting an F Sport badge on it would cheapen it, in my eyes. It becomes more obvious that it's a non-F-Sport that is modded if you don't have the badge.

The parts you install should speak for themselves.

I say you can do anything you want to make it yours. There will always be a number of Lexus drivers who will "exceed or surpass" any semblance of good taste, class or coolness!

ENJOY!!!
