Default Is the is250 a fun car?

Hi I have a GS350 right and I've been thinking about cars to replace it and I was wondering if the is250 F-Sport is a fun car. I've driven one and i had only one complaints being the transmission and how slow it was to react. On the hand do you guys that maybe an Fr-s or a brz would be a better choice. I don't want another fast car, I want a car that you can have fun in.

Get an is350. Same power as your GS350. You should go and test drive one. You will fall in love.

I have driven the 350 and I'm asking about the 250 because where I live you can get them for 270 a month while the 350 is 370 a month, thats more than my GS is.

250 is cool to put it in sport mode and change it to use the paddle shifts. Pretty fun. The 250 is all around fun when you need it or elegant when you have to wear the old shirt and tie.

the frs/brz would probably be more fun than an is250. There is way more aftermarket support for the frs/brz. the 250 is just a quiet, comfortable car to chug around in

My neighbor had a 14 IS250 F-sport AWD, which he loved at first for the style and features. However, after a year, he complained a lot about the lack of power especially when passing on the highway. He bought a 2015 IS350 F-Sport AWD and couldn't be happier.

The 2014s didn't. Not sure about the 15s. As far as fun, I am one who puts more emphasis on cornering performance as opposed to hp and 0-60 times. I really do enjoy the cornering and ride of my '14 IS250 F-SPORT. I do think it's fun, but I also think that's a judgement that you have to make for yourself.

No Sport S+ on the 250 since that is associated with AVS which is only on the 350...

I'm enjoying my 250 as a sporty sedan, but for pure sports car driving experience on a budget, nothing beats a manual FRS/BRZ for the money.

The IS250 is not really fun, in my opinion. However, the FR-S is also not fun, unless you are constantly driving it in manual mode and shifting and gunning it. I found it to be a pretty boring drive around town (I didn't have it on the highway, but I'm sure it's fine for that). I just didn't like the gearing compared to my tC.

The IS350 is more fun. Coming from a GS350, you should like the IS350.

Since you're coming from a GS350, I would definitely stick with an IS350. These of power on the IS250 will be very noticeable between your old car and the new one. If you're willing to give up power, then go ahead with the IS250!

Neither the 250 or 350 are really "fun" cars. The 250 especially is a a cow... slow, SLOOOOOOOOOOOW...

If you wanted a fun car you should be buying an S4, ISF, etc.

I think it all depends on what you mean by "fun". Based on what you've said so far you don't sound like the type to be gunning it to red line from each stop light. If you like zipping around town in a silky smooth car than I think the IS250 should be fine for you. However, if you are coming from a GS350 you are definitely going to notice the power difference so I would def recommend a test drive to confirm.

Depends where you're coming from. Fun for me now generally means being more agile and faster.

Coming from an Si (college dd), IS350 F-Sport (graduation purchase) was such a big jump.
