Yes! I've had the car a month and still can't figure out how to drive it right. Meaning without it constantly tripping over itself for the right gear. I knew when my 6 spd was going to shift and how much gas I needed to give it to get to the speed I desired. I don't know if that makes sense to anyone, lol. But yea. The 8 speed just feels like it has two gears too many.

I agree about the gear box, the last 2 gears have no power at all. They are cruising gears to get that 29 mpg freeway... It takes forever to downshift too. If it were a turbo car, it would have been a different story.

I have test driven an Acura TLX with the 9 speed from ZF and it has teh same problem. I had a 2012 TL and loved the 6 speed tranny in it....Damn this obsession with ridiculous amounts of gears! Next thing we'll be having 18 gears like tractor trailers!
