Nice choice! Can you send me some pics? I was thinking of taking off my 45 and putting on the 55

What I didn't read anyone mention is Lexus roadside assistance. I thought they covered trip interruptions as long as you're at least 100 miles away from your home. Or does that only apply to warranty defects?
Still 1-800-25-Lexus ???

I think you just say I need a tow to the dealership... My car won't start..

And here I thought I was going to read about trying to look down the filler tube with a lighted match...

Glad you got it fixed.

Your first clue on damage will be what threw that first CEL.

Your best bet, get it diagnosed today, and then have it flat bedded home. Either way, you're not driving your car anywhere today.
I have to say, this post made me laugh the hardest. Friend, you really need to get some experience working on Japanese vehicles. It's pretty easy to see you've not had one apart.

Yeah, man. A tech can do things efficiently and they have to in order to get paid. I was going to have lunch with a buddy of mine years ago and the guy was a Benz tech at the time. His first job of the day was chain and rails on a V12 and he started at 7:30. He pulled the motor to do it and was done by lunch. Maybe the shade tree mechanics don't know the value of a lift and proper tools.

Not to mention how much it would cost to flatbed an IS from San Francsco to Colorado.
