No. Nothing went off. I don't even know how they took it. I have both keys.

You have stolen vehicle tracker with Lexus Enform, call them up and ask them to locate it. Also make sure the police know your car is trackable

Enform is not available in Canada. Is the car still traceable?
I have already called the police and filed a report.

Just FYI, the Lexus tracker would be best but lojack is the biggest waste of money there is you would have justa good of a chance driving around and finding it as lowjack does. . .

It's been confirmed. Lexus Canada does not have any tracking in their vehicles. So I am pretty much SOL. Let's see what Peel police can do for me now.

I'm curious as to what this opinion is based on. I don't have Lojack, so I don't know, but I used to work for a company that did GPS tracking in commercial vehicles. The ones that were for tracking in the case of theft were usually in places that a thief would not see. I suppose thieves can maybe jam GPS signal, though, so maybe that's your point.

I recently saw a report on this. Thieves now use devices that transmit a low level signal to the car which activates the key sensor. Once the signal is received on their device it can quickly figure out the code and act like a cloned key.

OP,

I'm sorry to hear of this and I hope your car is found and returned to you and (most importantly) without any damage. Truth be told sometimes stolen cars are damaged so badly that it's almost better off that they aren't found.

I heard that once it's stolen, the insurance will write it off!
Not 100% sure if it's true

Not true.

There are XX number of days of not being found before it is declared a write-off. If found before this date, they will assess the damage just as if you were in an accident and go through the same decision process.

I find that difficult to believe, that the car makers would have new modern systems that are easily defeated.
