Brake Pad Replacement Options; F Sport vs. Non-F Sport Pads
#16
I just replaced the pads on my 250 F Sport with Project Mu TYPE NS pads. Great pads. Stopping power slightly better than stock F Sport Pads and cuts down dust significantly.
Here's my review thread. You can see how much less dust in the pics

I would strongly recommend them. They do have fitments for 350 F Sport models as well.

If my front brake pads are down to 3 mm, how much more time / how many more miles do I have left on them?
My front brake pads measure 3 mm.
How much more time / how many more miles might I have left before rotor loss?
Thanks.

I'd personally go ahead and replace them now. Some might run them down more, but why? You're going to have to do it soon anyway so just bite the bullet. I'm pretty sure the pads wear a little slower as you get into that last part of the pad, but I don't think anyone can tell you you have xxx amount of miles before you're due. That'd be damned near impossible.

I think 2mm is the absolute minimum - I agree that you should just go ahead and replace now. If the rotors don't have runout (uneven surface) or gouges, and haven't been giving you problems (shuddering when braking, etc), you might be ok not to replace them.
