I'm leasing my car right now and I'm also not sure if it's worth keeping even though I don't plan on turning it in to the dealer. My dad might be interested in taking the car out of my hand after the lease is done.

My main concern really about tinting is the amount of protection between ceramic and normal tint? Is there a huge difference in heat protection per say a 40% ceramic vs 15%-20% normal tint? I hate dealing with percentages when researching instead of actual numbers. They could make a 1 vs 2 seem better by saying 1 is bigger than 2 (100% larger).

I looked through this: http://autoresource.internetautoguid...tint-2423.html

Most shops carry standard and ceramic. I'd call the shop and ask them what they offer.

I got the 3m crystalline all around on my car and I am very pleased with the heat rejection compared to regular tint.

I did llumar tint and regret not getting the 3m crystalline. Cousin did it to all 6 windows in his 5 series and it's an ICE BOX!

I got quoted at http://sdmotorsports.com/ for $280 crystalline, and $800 ceramics for all windows. I thought they were charging too much but just gave me an idea how much these things cost.

I paid $160 for standard dyed film on my last car. 6 yr warranty, and all the edges were perfectly rounded.

I'm hoping that this includes the windshield. Excluding windshield would probably be more practical. It's been a while since I got quoted that price. I would need to go back.

Double check with them. I know most places in the LA area charges $500+ for crystalline and another $200+ just for the windshield. If it's really $280 for the windows, I'll probably take the drive down and tint from them
