when I drive and hit little bumps in road I hear a rattle that sounds like its coming from the gas tank cover. Curious if anyone heard this and if I should try something

I don't hear a rattle but I may be able to give you a suggestion based on a recent experience I had. The last time I got gas I closed the cover and drove to my next destination. When I got out and locked the car I noticed that the sound of the gas cover locking was different. I discovered that I didn't close the lid tight enough for the lock to fully engage the door. It looked like it was closed but it actually wasn't. So I would suggest you unlock your car (which of course unlocks the gas cover) and then open and close it tightly. If might look like it's closed but it may not be. Hope the above helps you out.

The door rattles when I close my back doors, and pushing it in further didn't really help, its a very crappy design. it was perfect before I don't know why they needed to mess with it.

I'm only a month in my ownership but so far no such rattle.

i hear it all the time. even if you open the tank cover, you can tap on it, its very hollow obviously. locking it in doesn't help.

If I knock on my rear fender I am able to replicate the sound. The cover is a thin sheet of metal. the locking mechanism is glued onto it. I think that needs to be secured better but I don't want to bring it to the dealer cause they will give me a whole run around for days like always.

Im thinking maybe to use a clear silicone around the plastic to secure it better.
