How do body shops fix deep and long scratches?

reprayed. the scratch dug into the metal, so they filled those portions and resprayed the effected panels.

Yeah... I bought my ISF when I was still in an apartment, and I guess I got lucky. The place was gated but there were always people walking around and kids throwing ***** and such. I was a bit paranoid I was eventually going to get dinged/keyed or someone would try to jack my wheels or something (especially at night). I finally bought a place and once that garage door closes I don't worry one bit.

OP, as said before your car will need to have those panels painted and blended. A good shop will make it fairly unnoticeable, but under the right lighting a trained eye will always be able to tell. Don't sweat it though.. just get your car fixed and in that garage from this point forward. Peeps that key cars.. no bueno.

Depending on how deep it is, they could wet sand it, but if it's fast the clear coat you'll have to repaint.
