Default Edmonton/Calgary - Alberta Roll Call

I was wondering how many member we have in Edmonton/Calgary (as well as the rest of Alberta). I think it would be cool to have a little meet and greet in the future, perhaps meet at Sylvan Lake? I've seen quite a few 3IS's around, and some seem to be modded up, I'd like to see what some of you have done in person.

If anyone interested in creating a meet, I wouldn't have a problem organizing one.

I'm located in Edmonton and have an IS 350 F-Sport AWD, White with Roja red interior.

Calgary, 2014 IS350 AWD F-Sport. Not for long though... moving into a Jaguar XE as soon as I can.

I'll eat my words: the interior build quality on the 2014 IS350 is pretty crap. I've had mine for under two months and treated it like gold and it's already got nicks and scratches.

Very frustrating.

The XE is about the same price, better looking, significantly faster, and it ISN'T a BMW/Audi/Merc which is good enough for me.

Damn. We should swap cars. HAHA. As noted in the other forum A790 and I frequent, I wanted White on Red with ML but couldn't.
Anyway, it's sad to hear that the IS was not up to your expectation.

Actually, in basically every other way, I really quite like the IS. I feel confident on the road, the car is a good size, it has adequate power, the AWD system is quite good...

However, at our elevation (3,700ft) we also lose 17% of the engines available power due to thinner air. Boosted engines don't suffer from that loss really, and the new Jag's got a supercharged V6... *Drool*.

TBH, I'm trying to convince my wife to sell the Jeep and drive the Lexus, so I can get the XE :P

Same as you Hermes. In Edmonton, 2014 IS 350 UW with Red. I'd be interested, but we're running out time, snow is starting to fall........

How did you get the 17% loss percentage? I'm curious

Well if the snow comes soon, which it probably will, maybe we can do a little Edmonton meet if everyone is still interested.

It would be cool to have IS owners club going on here in Edmonton/Alberta. I was involved with YEG 86 frs club here in Edmonton. I work at lexus of Edmonton now, we should setup possibly a season end meet before winter(not that our cars mind it at all)

Well lets see how many people we can get together and I'll organize a meet!

Shipping cost for parts is so damn expensive.
We can setup group-buy and get discounts in the future for all Alberta 3IS owners

I would most definitely be down for that. I wonder if Lexus would give a discount for a group buy on their intake/exhaust.
