Newly released Vossen VFS-1. Tell me what you think!
The newly released Vossen VFS-1 is out and ready to play!
As you may or may not of known, the VF series utilizes Vossen’s advances flow forming technology. This process not only makes the wheel lighter but also enhances the integrity of the wheel which makes it stronger as well.
The design is sleek and sporty, matching almost any car that it’s put on.
Our fellow member, Kybball#1, put this on his IS350 F-Sport recently just put some on his car and we over here at Need 4 Speed thinks it looks fantastic.
What are your thoughts on these new wheels my fellow ClubLexus members?

My opinion:
Basic, cookie-cutter aesthetics that looks like an OEM wheel, with no engineering behind it. Priced extra high for what they are, due to aggressive and successful marketing.
No offense guys. I'm sure many people will be into these, and they look great, but that's about it.

I like the look and the colors chosen to be available.
You or some other poster, hinted at 19" versions coming... If you know, can you provide a definitive timeframe? Rather than "soon".

wheels look good but i am curious to the design aspect. this design continues to give the illusion of a much deeper lip, much like their previous line. due to this, does a drop center still exist on the barrel?
i would imagine a drop center will not only make tire mounting easier, but it would increase rigidity throughout?

To back up what Jay said, when I grabbed the first box i almost threw it in my car bc they are so much lighter than previous styles. I wasnt expecting them to be that light. I been down with Vossen when they were small, matter of fact i think my first lexus was one of the first on their websight with CV3s on it. The owner has been nothing but great to me over the years. I highly recommend rollin on VOSSENS.......

For those that are interested in the different disciplines of metal forming and wheel construction, do your own research

I like the style and the finish of the wheels since they have a clean look to them as do most of the Vossen wheels. The technology behind them is pretty interesting as well--watch a YouTube video on the flow forming technique and it's quite interesting. The only thing stopping me from buying them is the size--I wish they came in 19s.
