Default Possible purchase of an 2012 Lexus IS 350 Fsport

Hey guys,

New to this forum and looking to pick up a new used car

I currently drive an Infiniti G35.
These pre-owned dealers don't like to haggle and so I am looking elsewhere.
Car wash and a oil change and they slap a "pre_owned" label to inflate the price.

Do these cars have a timing belt? The thing I liked about the Inifiniti was no timing belt. My experience with them is never again.

I know Lexus is a very strong brand and the reliability is tops.

Is there any annoyances with the car you don't like? The interior is first rate from what I see.

I am a grandpa when I drive so no canyon carving or track duty for me.

Thanks

I was searching for similar. Finally just decided to buy a new one. The prices just weren't different enough to justify buying used.

You should probably go for the IS250 if you drive like a grandpa
It's about 40 more mpg per refill on full gas tank.
From my experience of my IS250 and current IS350 it was 260 miles vs 220.
The 2012 IS250 would be super reliable since it's a late year's 2nd generation model.

since dealers are getting rid of 2014 IS some people getting some nice discounts. You're only a couple years away from the redesign so why not take a look? If you think the last gen IS looks good wait until you see the current gen. It is a huge improvement

3IS 8spd transmission on the 350s is WAY better than the laggy response in 2IS. F sports seats are lower than 2IS, there is a nice gain in headroom, better bolstering and comfort.

His thread title says 2012 Lexus IS 350 Fsport. Think he may be in the wrong section, or just typed the wrong date? Some good thoughts and suggestions here though.
