Default IS350 without GPS

Is there such an option for this? Don't really have any use of in-car GPS. Just weighing options now for a future purchase for newer models. Thanks.

Never saw an IS350 without nav.
The 250 does but never saw a 350 without it.

You can special order it, maybe some are sitting in dealers.

I have an 250 without navi, I believe you can special order it for the 350 as well. I thought the same thing as you. Other difference would be the center console, you wont get the mouse for non-navi. Instead you get a ****, should be more reliable IMO. Also I heard something about LEXUS make 1 non-navi out of 100 for the IS. Not sure if thats true or what...

Ok. We're thinking of special ordering it anyways if there are only gps options at the dealer. I mean realistically, on a daily use, I don't use it. And if I go out of state, I fly and get a rental.

Smartphone apps run circles around factory nav systems. We ordered our 250 without nav but in the US, you have to take nav if you want leather.

I drove an RX with the mouse controller and combined with the way you have to enter destinations, it sucks.

I have to say though, the location of the mouse could be a good place to put your phone when there is no navigation package.

Navigation is a poor excuse for the dealer to squeeze $2-$4K more out of you. This is a pointless and highly outdated option with smartphone technology at the level it is. Look at the packages offered by Lexus. When you choose any option package you are automatically forced to get the Navigation system. What purpose does this serve??? Just give me the bluetooth connectivity and let me make the decision as to whether I want to add your crappy Navigation option. Not to mention the best part, the F-Sport option includes the Navigation package, again total rip off!!! The best part of all of this the dealers do not stock cars without these packages already added and when I contacted the dealer they were reluctant if not dismissive about custom ordering. I will say it one more time rip off!!!

I remember walking into the dealership and simply told my salesman that I want a 250 non-sport without navigation and asked him to put the F-sport wheels on for me. Just happened they have one in nebula grey I wanted in stock.

Now that is living right. Contrary to the theme of this thread, people do want navigation in their car, whether they prefer to use their phones or another device instead. Those who want it clearly outnumber those who don't.

I did on my previous '07 IS250 but it has been sold (was not all that impressed with the system). I am currently in the market for a 3IS and I am little annoyed at the lack of options when it comes to the Navigation system Lexus offers. Personally, as I stated before, my phone can handle all if not more than the navigation system can. All you really need is bluetooth connectivity.
