Has anyone else noticed a slight whining, fluttering-like noise when accelerating? Faint but it has an annoying tone. Seems to come from driver side but not sure it can't be heard on passenger. Thanks.

I haven't noticed any minor noise like that. I'll pay more attention now and see if I hear something similar.

Yeah I know what you're talking about. It's more noticeable for me when I am accelerating in sport+.

It's just the turbo spooling up, if you're worried you can turn down the boost.

Tends to do it more when the tranny is not fully warmed up, after a while I can't hear it anymore. but yea, you're not crazy I hear it too.

Metallic whine is a completely normal noise on 3IS 350 F-Sport. All of them have it and it is really annoying but totally healthy. Cant do anything about - it is just the way it is. Recently had a chance to drive bmw m235i and boy does it sound sweet.

Thanks for all the replies ( wish it were the turbos!). As long as it's normal I can live with it, just wanted to make sure that was the case.
