Under what circumstances did you get your iPod error?

Those who've had the update, are your systems any faster?

Someone stated a little peppier, but can we get confirmation?

FWIW...my nav performs really well, but I do get the ipod error message every now and then. Thanks for posting; I'll be going to my dealer soon to get my tags so I'll bring this TSB up.

I just had my 10k service today and asked them to update to the latest. It turned out to be 8710, previously had 8500. I didn't have many nav problems other than occasional restarts, too early to tell if those are completely gone. I also had the "iPod error", I think it started after I updated to iOS7, so the later firmwares probably fixed compatibility problems.

For anyone who goes Stevens Creek Lexus, they have 8710 available.

Dealer updated my firmware to V10B8710 today.

Spent time restoring my settings, etc. after, but don't find there to be any difference with system speed / usability. Screen transitions (radio to telephone to navigation, etc.) are minimally better, but there's still has significant lag / delay when changing volume, sources, stations, and when moving the mouse / pointer around and selecting different ‘buttons’. Also, the mouse still freezes / hangs (small white circle).

Was really looking forward to the update, but very upset it's taking this long to get this right; first model year vehicle is one thing, but after one year in production, this should've been fixed already.

Dealer states there's yet another update in the works.

I wonder why dealers are still installing V10B8710 when V10C8710 is available?

I went to my local dealer (JM Lexus) on Thurday to get the firmware update. Things seem to be running a little peppier but it wasn't worth the couple surprises I received my car back with... Still cannot believe a technician could have been so careless to cause this kind of damage. Lexus didn't even tell me about the damage, it was the first thing I noticed upon getting back into my vehicle. Have an appointment to go back Wednesday to meet with a manager. Has anyone ever experienced anything like this before at the dealership or have any insight for me on what to do when I go back on Wednesday?

My dealer just got V10C8741!

You state you have V10C8741, but have you had it since new?

If you haven't had it since new, do you notice a difference from before?

Anyone else have V10C8741 now?

I have in fact had that version since taking delivery of the car, so I don't really have any frame of reference as to how it performs in comparison to another version.

I had my radio replaced due to continuous reboots. The replacement radio came with V10C8741.
I honestly do not notice any difference in speed, etc.
I'm just ecstatic that I haven't had a reboot in over a month (knocks on wood)!!!

Similar story here, I took delivery of my '14 IS 350 July 28th and also have version V10C8741. It looks like that last deliveries of the 2014's were built with this version. I have not experienced any lag or reboots.

I had my firmware updated today. My car is 2014 IS350 that I bought in July 2013. It had one of the oldest firmware revisions which was V10A8000. It was updated to V10C8741.

Over 18 months, I had a few reboots. May be twice a month and few blue flashes. I will see is things are better with the new version.

Just got my stereo/navigation receiver replaced under warranty in my 2014 and first thing i noticed was a different color scheme... haven't noticed any sluggishness yet but the user interface color scheme is more blue-ish than before. it makes me suspicious and was wondering what other people thought. The Pioneer receiver hardware number is 86130-53022. My navigation version is V10C8940 and OS version 16.8710. Any insight from anyone?

edit: Part # 86130-53022 seems to be a standard for 2014-2016 lexus is models but i cannot find any information ANYWHERE on firmware V10C8940
