I did this for my cousin over the weekend and took about 30min.
It just involves T-tapping wires and that's pretty much it.

Hardest part was trying to find which connector is which because the instructions are too zoomed in but was easy after you start unplugging connectors.

Only real mod I'd say you have to do is pushing the connector through a section of weather stripping so that's about it.

^ someone needs to do this for me because i'm not willing to screw up all of the wiring when i accidentally chop an entire connector off. oops. i've been known to make such mistakes -- well, maybe not that terrible, but still.

I have them, and they look super nice, plus the back ones look great, install was very easy, like 30 minutes give or take.

I would let the dealers do the job, hassle free.

Could you please post up some pics of them installed and in the night or evening?

This is ridiculous. It looks way too complicated to install, and these should've been standard on this car at least for F-Sport models. Lexus made a lot of cost saving. They came standard on X-package on 2IS.

Just installed mine this afternoon. Took about an hour using the directions from Sewell. Everything is pretty well documented in the instructions with the exception of the wires to tap. You'll notice the instructions don't match up to the pictures or the diagrams. For example on page 11 of the instructions, the directions say to tap pin 6, the diagram shows pin 14, yet the picture shows a different connector/pin altogether. I went with the example in the picture and it all worked out well.

I remember with our 2IS, it was just plug and play. Wish they would've kept that!

Default Pretty Easy Install

I installed these on our IS350. It as a very straight forward installation. The instructions with the kit were simple to follow. As with any install, take your time, don't rush and you'll do just fine. The lighted sills are awesome looking, however a big plus is the brushed sills for the rear doors. Personally I think these should be standard with the F Sport, but understand keeping costs down. Good luck and install on!
