Default removing center console

Any ideas on how to remove the center console? Like that area by the shifter and rectangular spot before it? Im wanting to add some felt or something to help stop all the creaks I hear while driving.

do u have navi? I find the "creaks" come from the mouse area, first I thought it's from the shifter but once I put a little pressure on the mouse and press the while hand rest part of the mouse down the creaks seem to go away or lessens. I'm planning to take it apart soon too to put some pad/cushion of some sort to eliminate the annoying sound

Why not just take it back to the dealership and have them fix the issue? That's what I did. Mentioned it at the 1K service and they fixed it. Haven't heard one squeak since then, as the car approaches the 6K mileage point.

not sure if its been posted online but the instructions to install the beatsonic navi bypass is how you get access to the center console. Not sure if the PDF of the instructions are online

Any info on how to do this on the 2014-2015 models? My center console looks a lot more fragile than the 2is center console.

If it were me, I would had used the screwdriver or knife wrapped in clear tape so I won't scratch the console.

Generally, interior materials are very prone to scratches and marring. Better be safe than sorry. Mask the areas with good masking tapes, preferable the ones for automobile such as the 3M green tapes. Screwdrivers with clear tapes may still mar the surface if too much pressure is applied or the tip of the screwdrivers are not adequately taped. You could also find some dash removal tool set as well.

Here is a link which shows pictures of taking the centre console apart for the sake of a similar hack.

I did the same thing. Dealer fixed it by adding felt

That is a good illustration! Very great efforts. I save the pictures as a handy reference
