If you have any connection the military (active duty/retired/former dependent), look into USAA. I've had them for 29 years.
I'm paying $635 per year for full coverage on my IS350: $300k/$100k, $500 collision, $0 Comprehensive (this is in the suburbs of Seattle)

I am in the same boat as you my f30 335 msport is cheaper to insure than my wife's 250 3is base model. I was surprised when I got my insurance quote. $430 for the ' 13 bimmer 6 months and $468 for '14 3is 6 months

Another big factor affecting insurance premium is location! Average car insurance premiums vary considerably by state for a variety of reasons – including the number of urban areas, traffic conditions, state insurance laws, the percentage of drivers who are uninsured, auto thefts and the number of car insurance companies competing for business. One can not compare the premiums of FL vs. MN! Just like California, Florida probably has a very high rate of uninsured drivers (and we are all paying for them)
A 500 rise a year is around $41 a month.

Ask for a College grad discount or if you work in medicine you should get a discount. Mine dropped 50 bucks A MONTH when I reminded my agent I have a masters degree in clinical medicine.

Having recently moved to Miami all our auto insurance went up significantly. We were told it is due to basically the worst drivers and higher chance of theft. Florida also doesn't protect the insured as well as some other states.

are not as insanely expensive as when I lived in Boston.. the 3iS would run like $1800 for 6 months for good drivers.

Hey Guys,
Just thought I would create this thread and share how much I pay for my insurance for my 2014 iS250. My 2013 BMW 328i MSport was only $750 for 6 months with the same insurance company and same coverages. I have a clean driving record and 24 years old. I always hear that at age 25 the rates get much better.
My 6 month premium with Esurance is $1,000.00 comp and collision at $500 Ded..
Everywhere else quoted me more $$. Esurance told me that this particular Lexus is just more money to insure in general.
This Japanese car more expensive to ensure than a BMW! Toyota parts are cheaper.
Please feel free to share which insurance company you have and how much you pay for your 6 month premium w/ coverages and deductibles and your age.
