Default RANT: Audio doesn't resume upon selecting Radio or Media on Display

Anyone else find it annoying that audio doesn't resume upon selecting Radio or Media from the display?

Instead, we have to press the volume **** and then select radio or media, adding a step.

Not quite understand what you mean audio doesn't resume? You mean the volume?

Screen still states "AUDIO OFF", but yes, the volume.

So if you have the audio off, you want to turn it back on using the Radio or Media buttons, rather than the Audio On button?

Not rather, but both.

When audio is off, radio or media is selected, instead of nothing happening, audio should.

I've never do that since I rarely turn off audio. Think of audio button like a main power button, you cannot turn on your equipment without main power.

I was playing around with this last night. It's not an issue for me, as I just use the power button without a second thought, but I did find that, with the power off, if you hit the Radio or Media button twice, it'll come back on. Might be an acceptable compromise for you.

Wow, what an awesome find! I'll check it out.

Should be good, if so!

Thank you!

I hit the Mode button on the steering wheel as it turns the system back on with whatever was playing last and if I need a change (e.g. HD radio instead of bluetooth) my finger is already pressing the Mode button so I can press it again to switch to the next mode.
