Default Radio code / battery removal

Just curious if our cars require a radio code when the car loses all power. Like a dead battery or battery replacement, etc.

Nav and non-nav please give feedback!

good question, i dunno. had the requirement on the 99 camry, and my 04 rsx, so maybe the IS does as well. actually if i remember correctly, when the car is locked or even turned off, the radio has a red light blinking, that usually to me implies theres an anti-theft mechanism in place and would usually mean radio codes are required.

There is no Radio Code.
I disconnected my battery for a good 2 hours when working on it. no code required showed up after. I have full ML Navi setup

I have never ever seen one Toyota/Lexus Factory Stereo ask for a radio code in my 10 years of installing car audio.
