Hey guys,

i want to get staggered rims for my is350 awd fsport. I've been told this will completely ruin the ride because it is all wheel drive.

Can anyone shed some insight on this. Is the difference so noticeable that i should not do it?

And also i want to lower my car on rsr springs. How much does this change the ride?

Any recommendations or opinions are appreciated

i have a staggered 19" set up and it hasnt effected the awd and im lowered on rsr coilovers

Its critical that the outside diameter of the rims and tires match front and back. When running staggard rims it means that you will not have the same tire front and back due to the rim width being different. There are a few members on here who will be able to guide you as to what combinations have worked for them. You can also use an online tire calculator to check what the final outside diameter with the different tire combinations will be. Im not sure exactly what you can get away with as far as variance between front and rear but the reason that there cant be a difference is because you dont want the front and rear tires to have different rotational speeds as it will damage the transfercase on the AWD verhicles. Staggered is standard on the IS350 AWD F-Sport. Why would it ruin the ride?

Edit: Ah, I presume you're referring to diameter and not width.

I'm looking to get 20 inch vossen cvts with rsr regular down springs (not super downs)

Can anyone who has insight on this combo recommend what I need to do in terms of keeping the diameter the same or what i can get away with?

What does having different diameter do exactly. Does it ruin the feel of the ride or just the capability of the AWD technology?
