Default G2 Black Calipers on UW

Finished this weekend. Started Friday night and had it back together on Sunday evening. I really wanted to go with the G2 red, but was over ruled by my wife. I think the black with white stickers looks just as good.

My company sells the duplicolor caliper kits, although if you ever buy a Duplicolor kit, I would NOT recommend using the brush it comes with. The bristles come out very easily and end up sticking into the coating and making it very difficutl.

Because of this one caliper came out a bit better than the other, not that you can tell when the wheel is on, thankfully

Did people paint the caliber on the car or disassemble the brakes. I've seen it both ways. Any DIY or pics of the process would be great. I've watch a few you tube vids yet still don't trust myself.

I removed the calipers from the knuckles to the point they would hang from the brake hose. I removed the front rotors after that, left the rear rotors on the axle. After that I removed ALL brake pads. Once that's done I cleaned all calipers to the point of the G2 cleaning spray dripping clear from the calipers. It was easy to see whether the parts were clean or not according to the cleaning spray coming off the parts. HOWEVER, once the cleaning spray dried, I cleaned all the parts with alcohol.

After drying, I used the G2 kit per the instructions. I did not use the brush that came with the kit, I bought several 1/2" brushes for this. DO NOT USE THE INCLUDED BRUSH. It took 2 coats to cover all the calipers. I used a different brush for each coat. Once the G2 dries, it is smooth and looks awesome.

After 24 hours, I put on the stickers then sprayed with high heat clear coat X3. follow the directions and spray each coat after 10-15 minutes then walk away for 4-6 hours. Once you come back, you'll get that OMG moment! Cause it looks so good.

As with most things in life, patience is the key!

Left calipers on.

Put the car on jack stands and just turned the steering wheel from left to right to get the back side of the caliper. The back side was just as easy to do as they front this way and I didnt have to (or want to) take the caliper off

I just went to the G2 site and they say not to use any clearcoat because it will yellow and peel. Has anyone seen any issues after clear coating over a decal?
Also It says the F sport decal is too big for a 250 caliper, I am thinking of getting that decal and take it to a place that will shrink it down to fit the smaller caliper. Any thoughts?

That looks really good. What color blue did you use? Is that G2 coating or a spray paint?
